My First Blog Post at Konnect PR!
April 19, 2012 5:43pmGreetings from this Los Angeles public relation firm’s newest employee! I’m Shannon, the new social media assistant here at Konnect Public Relations. I am currently right in the midst of my second week on the job, and I am happily settling in and finding my groove. I’ll admit, familiarizing myself with multiple clients as well as updating all of their social media while getting to know all the girls was a little intimidating at first. Now almost finishing up my second week, I can juggle multiple clients and have found out exactly how to moderate my time. One of the perks of working in social media is always being in the know. With clients ranging from baby gear, to cookware, to vegan snacks, I definitely can say I have gained a plethora of knowledge.
One client has been particularly beneficial to research in regards to a current “situation” or problem, I’ve been facing. A new job can be stressful, not to mention driving in LA traffic on a daily basis, and being a 20-something new to Los Angeles. I don’t know about you, but when I stress, my skin hates me for it. Luckily for me the BeWell Expo is coming to Los Angeles in September, and you can bet I’ve been picking up on some great skin care tips and product suggestions while marketing for them. I can’t wait for the actual event!
Skin issues aside, I am elated to be working for a public relations agency like Konnect PR. Everyone has been more than welcoming, and it is so refreshing to share creative ideas with like-minded people on a daily basis. I am extremely excited for what lies ahead. You will definitely be hearing more from me. Did I mention the window behind my desk is a lovely 6th story view of the Downtown Los Angeles city-scape? However, I believe it is the view from the front of my desk that is more worth mentioning..

LA Publicist Discusses Mini-Bündchen
April 18, 2012 6:00pmMove aside Suri Cruise, looks like there’s another stylish cutie on the block! Supermodel Gisele Bündchen’s effortless beauty and fashion expertise has made its way to her 5-year-old neice Duda Bündchen who has her little hands in designing and launching a clothing line in partnership with the Brazilian kids-wear brand Brandili Mundi. Not only is this genetically blessed preschooler the face of the brand, she chose the prints, cuts and details to produce the clothing line. The brand’s commercial and marketing director, Germano Costa told Forbes, “The pieces were all approved by Duda, whose romantic inspiration will no doubt catch girls’ eyes.”
Hmmm what does a 5-year-old know about “romance”?! Aside from that, we must admit that this girl is just too cute for words! Check out this behind-the-scenes video of Duda prancing around in her charming designs here.
Here at Konnect PR agency, we represent a plethora of adorable children’s accessories and fashion lines including the following:

Subscriptions Make PR Agency Life Easy
April 17, 2012 5:40pmOne thing that keeps a busy LA publicist clothed, accessorized and with shoes is online shopping. But with long hours, travel and trying to squeeze in a spin class, even online shopping can often fall to the back burner. This is where the “mints” come in. It all started with Jewelmint- a new fabulous piece of jewelry arrives to me once a month. Then came the t-shirts, shoes, then beauty and now it’s home! Beachmint announced they they have partnered with Justin Timberlake (swoon) to create a line of home goods. Perfect for the apartment I have lived in for over a year and still have zero art on the walls, gaping holes where furniture should go and no cookie sheets!
Subscription services have become the new hot trend. They are perfect for busy people, including this entire pr agency. There are tons of subscriptions, including one of our new clients TeethMe. It provides new products for moms with teething children!
These companies provide convenience, ease and the latest trends right at your doorstep and all you need is a credit card- just what this busy publicist needs!

LA Publicist Takes Advantage of Delicious Food at Affordable Prices
January 27, 2012 5:56pmWhat seems like once in a blue moon, the LA restaurant industry decides to befriend the young, broke and fabulous, such as yours truly and the other ladies here at Konnect PR. This past week marked week one of dineLA Restaurant Week. Amazing restaurants all over the city create tasty three course menus at a set price encouraging locals to try a new or return to a favorite restaurant. This is the perfect opportunity for a Los Angeles public relations professional to check out some new fabulous places in order to keep a finger on the pulse of LA.
So far, I have tried one new restaurant with an amazing view, alright food and not so good service. I was supposed to try a place I have been dying to try, Waterloo & City, but unfortunately had to cancel because of a fellow slammed PR professional. Next week, I am having a girls night at Mercato di Vetro and while I have been there once before, have been craving some of their delicious signature dishes since my visit.
Whether you’re a foodie or just hungry, there is some seriously good food at even more serious prices just waiting for you. Go ahead- you still have one week! Enjoy!

New Year, New Ideas, New Clients!
January 9, 2012 5:06pm2012 is bring a lot of exciting things to this pr agency. We are starting the new year with new ideas, new employees and new clients!
One client which I have started working on is Babiators, a line of pint-size aviators for babies and children! This is one of those clients that when anyone sees it they have an instantaneous reaction of “awww”. The Konnect PR girls sure experienced this when we got a shipment of samples sent to our office. After checking out the samples and having continuous aww’s throughout the office, we all discussed about buying pairs for nieces, nephews, cousins and obviously wishing we had our own kids just so we could put a pair of these sunglasses on them!
These peepers sure put a big smile on our faces!
