LA Publicists Take NY

Start spreading the news. We’re leaving today… actually, we are already on our way. Yes as part of the continuous cycle of our every-2-month NY trips, Sabina, Shonte and I are actually mid-flight on our way to the big apple. This trip’s focus – the New York International Gift Fair. A mecca of businesses and retailers offering anything that could ever be construed as a gift to anyone (think everything from baby products to kitchen items, handmade trinkets, etc.) we are proud to say that we actually have four clients participating in this larger than life show. Yes, Mastrad, Beehive Kitchenware Co., Madii & Dyl and Sip N’ Go will all be exhibiting, showing their amazing products and getting some amazing press as a result of it

While we are all slightly deranged/ tired from the 4 am wake up call this morning and while I wish I could do nothing but sleep on the flight to NY, the fact of the matter is that here we are – the three of us – laptops open, Outlook open, headphones in, typing away in email or AIM form to the lovely team back home (“Can you call so and so? Can you check on this for me? What’s happening with this?”).

While all that is fine and dandy, we always remember to have a smile on our face, stay positive amidst extreme exhaustion and most of all, we always remember to take breaks and document our trips for this amazing Konnect PR blog.

LA Publicist Good Eats – Eataly NY

Amongst the many good LA publicist duties we all perform on a daily basis, one of the things that (as tiring as it is) is my favorite thing to do is editor deskside meetings. Invaluable in a profession where relationships and connections mean everything, Konnect PR sets up multiple NY trips a year to ensure that all our staff is meeting with the people whom they connect with on the phone and through email everyday. In a recent trip that Sabina and I took to NY (recent being last week) we discovered a goldmine from – no big surprise – one of our favorite editor contacts. Eataly NY is an AMAZING combination of gourmet supermarket, restaurant, and rooftop beer garden. The size of a small Target, this place is a dream for anyone who is even remotely interested in food. Among the many little delectable bites that we tried at the end of our grueling day walking from meeting to meeting, were things like cheeses, meats and of course (Sabina’s favorite) sweets!


One of the good sweet finds that we are currently munching on in the office (in spite of all of our diets) are the Krumiri cookies. We highly recommend them!

Los Angeles Public Relations Firm Presents The Class of 2011!

A vital part to any pr agency (and a crucial part of Konnect PR) are the bright young and motivated interns that come through the door each semester looking for experience and guidance into what could be their potential career. Interns come and go, and being that we have been lucky enough to have worked with some amazing students from all over the U.S., we always like to give them their due credit as they do much more in their time here than just make copies and get coffee (as a matter of fact I think they may have only done that once or twice if that). This past Friday two of our amazing interns (who you have seen blogging and featured here) graduated from USC with their Master’s degrees. Taylor and Chris, we are so proud of you and so happy to have had the opportunity to work with you this last semester (the fact that you now share my Alma Mater has only a little bit to do with it). We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors (we know you will do well) and hope that you keep us up to date on wherever your road takes you!
