Operation Modnique and Much Love Fundraiser Event: SUCCESS!
This past Saturday, the Modnique/Much Love fund raising event took place at Barrington Dog Park in Brentwood. As an LA publicist, event planning is also another responsibility that we take on for clients. From getting various price quotes from vendors to brainstorming on creative ideas and activities, we began prepping for this over two months ago; To say that events are never easy and at times, can be very stressful in an UNDERSTATEMENT.
Nonetheless, this public relations agency ROCKED that event, if I may say so myself. While most of Los Angeles was sleeping in on Saturday morning, we were all up in the wee hours (some before sun up) to arrive at the park by 7am. Even though the event didn’t start until 11am, those four hours prior to the kick-off flew by, with everyone having a designated task and bringing all of the smaller elements together to be ready by 11am.
Along with local residents, friends, family and dog lovers, we were very grateful to have Dancing With The Stars’ Lacey Schwimmer, her dance parnter Mike Catherwood, Jason Lewis from Sex And The City and Heather Hemmens from CW’s Hellcats in attendance to show their support. Catered by KOGI BBQ and Sweet Leaf Tea, everything ran smoothly; we Konnect PR ladies run a well oiled machine!
Although this may have been one of the most challenging hurdles I have encountered to date as a publicist, I would say that it was truly rewarding seeing everything come together. And I couldn’t have done it without the talented and dedicated team members that I work with every day.
