Expo West Success!

March 14, 2011 6:31pm

This past weekend Shonte, Sabina and I had the privilege of assisting our clients Sweet Leaf Tea and Rhythm Superfoods as they exhibited at the Natural Products Expo West trade show. A gathering of the best the natural products world has to offer (everything from food to beauty, lifestyle items and more) we feel so honored as a pr agency to be able to work with two such amazing companies and to be able to actually see them and take part in such a crucial part of their business.

As Sweet Leaf Tea sampled their tasty drinks and showcased their new packaging (along with the delicious Tradewinds brand of drinks), Rhythm Superfoods showcased their newly designed packaging and sampled their new Kale Chip flavors and brand new Sweet Potato Chips. We are happy to report that both brands were a hit at the show! With products just as lovely as the team behind them, this is anything but a surprise for us here at Konnect PR :)

Below take a peek at a couple of cool photos from the show courtesy of Rama Images.

You are what you eat, so eat well!

January 18, 2011 7:11pm

Today Sabina and I were fortunate enough to sneak in a quick meeting with Scott and Jim over at Rhythm Superfoods to see what they have been up to in their continual pursuit of offering healthy superfood snacks. As usual, we were amazed with how many good things are in the works! Rhythm Superfoods is going to come out with some products in the next couple months that will take healthy snacking to a new level. As part of that journey, both Scott and Jim were actually in LA for just a few brief moments (in a layover at LAX) on their way back from visiting their kale grower up in Northern California. You know that saying “you are what you eat,” well if everyone ate Rhythm Superfoods’ line of snacks they would be in tip top shape. As you can see from the below photos, all of Rhythm Superfoods products are made from fresh, premium vegetables that are plucked straight from the ground and served with almost all of their natural nutrients in tact. Not something you can say for many brands on the market, EVERYTHING you find inside a Rhythm Superfoods branded bag is good for you. While this pr agency is not divulging any specifics as to the things to come just yet, let us just say that everyone should be ready to be pleasantly surprised by Rhythm Superfoods… again.

The process of making a Superfood

January 12, 2011 6:14pm

A while back Sabina and I had the pleasure of taking our public relations agency all the way to Austin to visit a few of our amazing clients (per this blog post). One of these clients was Rhythm Superfoods, a company which produces healthy, nutrient-rich “superfood” snacks. Their current line of Kale Chips has been a great hit so far, and while in Austin they invited Sabina and I to come and take a closer look at the process behind creating this tasty snack. What we saw was amazing. Into every bag of kale chips goes a whole fresh batch of kale that is mixed in raw, vegan spices and herbs and then dehydrated. This means that everyday, the great people at Rhythm Superfoods are de-stemming, washing, and mixing hundreds of pounds of kale. While I can only begin to describe the process that goes into making this cool snack, photos are worth a thousand words. With that said, and without further ado, I bring you the Konnect PR Rhythm Superfoods photo diary :)

Mobile PR

December 8, 2010 9:17am

As a publicist, there is not one second of your day when you are not connected to the news, your clients, or the media. Our job is to always be a mobile source of information to best serve our clients and see where they fit into the continuous stream of news. The reason I bring this up is because for the last few days Sabina and I have been in Austin, Texas, conducting meetings with our clients based here and planning for 2011. While some may think that being in a different city, in a different state, out of the office, may lead to a disconnectedness with our work and clients, they would be wrong. In addition to the obvious BlackBerry and iPhone (which are hooked up to our e-mail and the internet) we have also set up a miniature satellite office in my hotel room, complete with laptops and iPad’s, and have carried on with the usual pitching, conference calls, interviews, etc. Today there is no reason to be disconnected and the fact that I am typing away on my laptop from a hotel room desk while Sabina is sitting on the bed, iPad in hand and currently on the phone is a testament to the fact that public relations is part of a non-stop work cycle… or at least it should be.
