Ever Wonder What’s on the Wish List for an LA Publicist?

Well today is your lucky day! Here at Konnect PR we are all very much a part of the holiday season, so much so that you can hear various Pandora holiday stations echoing throughout our pink offices. While we have a solid week left of work, that didn’t stop this multitasking LA publicist from rounding up the most desired gifts from the lovely ladies here at our office. Check out the top  gifts we want most this season:

1. Ranking in as the most expensive and highly desired gift, one LA Publicst dreams of one day owning Dylan McKay’s Porche Speedster. A girl can dream, can’t she? She sure can!

2. & 3. What no publicist should be without: fabulous pair(s) of shoes! Check out these adorable boots from Steve Madden and these classic beauties from Anthro!

4. When you’re making the rounds at a holiday party, attending a client meeting or pitching away, every LA Publicist knows an eye popping manicure is a must. Look at these dazzling shades desired for the season!

5. The gift of time! Well, kind of…a fabulous golden Michael Kors watch will do the trick!

6. & 7. Bags Galore! For the bag lovers of the office–this gorgeous Alexander Wang will definitely turn heads while this classic Tory is a must for the season!

8. As a first timer to New Yawk for the season, one LA Publicist can’t seem to live without these practical and very convenient Kate Spade mittens!

9. And last but not least…what LA Publicist wouldn’t want a beautiful business card holder for our signature pink business cards?

What’s on YOUR list this season?

LA Publicist Cracks UP…Literally

One of our daily tasks working at a pr agency is to research media outlets and find potential features that would be a good fit for our clients. While I was busy working on this task, I came across something that I felt obliged to share with everyone here at Konnect PR.

Want to know what made everyone at this pr agency go “AWWWWW!” See for yourself….

Isn’t this the cutest picture ever!!? Not only does it mention one of my favorite Pixar movies of all time, “Up,” but the little boy in this picture is a spitting image of the old man, Carl, from the movie (except about 70 years younger). This LA publicist absolutely loves this picture! So much so, that whenever I am having a down moment, I pull up this picture and I crack a smile.

LA Publicist Is So Excited For Sweet Leaf Tea’s Cap-Off Contest

There’s only a few weeks left to vote for your favorite bottle cap Grannyism in Sweet Leaf Tea’s contest called “The Great Grannyism Cap-Off Contest.” To enter to win, contestants must write their own clever Grannyism (just make sure it’s Granny-approved) and submit it via Sweet Leaf Tea’s Granny’s Almanac website at www.sweetleafalmanac.com. Not only does this SWEET contest give you a chance to win a year’s worth of Sweet Leaf Tea, but you can also win some cool prizes via the “Sweet Deal Forecaster” where you can unlock exclusive offers when your city reaches a certain temperature.

So don’t wait any longer and submit your Grannyism today. This LA Publicist can’t wait to find out who the lucky winner is!

Good luck fellow Grannyism writers!

LA publicist on Nautica Malibu Triathlon

One of the best things about being a LA publicist is being able to work with various types of clients, which is why I am so excited that our firm is working with the 25th annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon. The triathlon supports Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ pediatric cancer research program and last year, raised over $1 million!

Being able to hear about all of the participants’ inspiring stories of triumph is truly motivating. Not only that, but seeing the corporate teams come together for a great cause is absolutely amazing. We all headed to Zuma Beach one Saturday morning to watch the teams train for swimming, biking and running. Everyone was so energetic and ready to train!

I’m looking forward to actually seeing the race take place and maybe even considering participating in something like this. So fun!

Carmageddon

One of the major arteries in the Los Angeles area is being shut down over the weekend prompting nothing short of crazy panic. The 405 freeway will be closed beginning tonight through early Monday morning between the 101 and the 10. And for those who do not live in LA, this probably doesn’t mean much. And to be honest, it doesn’t mean much to this LA publicist since I rarely take the freeway anymore. (Yay for West Hollywood!)

One huge plus is that many stores, restaurants and spas are offering “carmageddon” sales to encourage people to shop locally. Yay for 20% of manis and $4.05 drink specials to all walkable establishments.

Most offices closed at 3:00pm (not this pr agency!), some stayed home completely and others are vowing to not leave their houses all weekend. While predictions run from utter street chaos to “it won’t be bad. It will be like the ’84 Olympics,” Angelenos are undecided.  While the project closing the freeway is meant to alleviate traffic in the long term now some are saying it won’t even do that.

Lets just get it together LA government and build some useful public transportation. There, problem solved!

Happy Carmageddon!

K Hotels’ Hotel Diva is the perfect San Francisco Treat

Heading to San Francisco this summer? One of the main areas visitors stay is Union Square, as it is centrally located and is walking distance to tons of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. One of the great things about working for a pr agency, you can find out about tons of great places to stay even outside of LA.

Such is the case of one mom who was visiting the San Francisco area covered on Hollywood Hot Moms. She stayed at K Hotels’ Hotel Diva and she loved it!
